'Shaping Christian Engagement in Education . . .'

The Stapleford Centre is currently undergoing a period of transition to ensure we continue to be a transforming Christian influence in education.

Over the next 12 months we will be:-

  • Adding to our free downloadable resources for teachers of RE.
  • Organising conferences and seminars for teachers, school leaders and senior Christian educationalists.
  • Hosting major developments and projects such as Crossref-it.info and the Transforming Lives project.
  • Establishing new projects to create communities of influence, development, support and encouragement that will promote Christian engagement in education.

Monthly updates on our progress will be posted on this website, our new Facebook page and Twitter feed (launching in January 2012) along with prayer news and other information.

New Horizons

In response to changing economic conditions the trustees of the Stapleford Centre have taken the brave decision to refocus our future work. The Centre's office, which has been based at The Old Lace Mill, Frederick Road, Stapleford since 2001, closed on the 16th December 2011. David Morton, Robin Staple and Sue Coyne will now work from home, giving them greater flexibility to meet our aim of being a transforming Christian influence in education.

The closure of our Nottingham office marks a watershed in the work of The Stapleford Centre. In closing we were thrilled to see our resources, furniture, shelving, computers and other equipment distributed to local schools, churches and Christian organisations.

Plans are currently under development that, if successful, will see The Stapleford Centre commence two new, exciting projects in September 2012. These will aim to shape Christian engagement in education through the development of communities of Christian working in education.
