National Christian Headteachers' Conference:

for all in school leadership

Reservoirs of Hope
The significance of spiritual and moral leadership in schools

Reservoirs of Hope

Organised by an independent group of Christian Head Teachers and supported by Association of Christian Teachers, The Stapleford Centre and TISCA (The Independent Schools Christian Alliance).

The metaphor reservoirs of hope has been used in research at the National College of School Leadership to describe the spiritual and moral dimension of leadership in schools. Where do school leaders find their reservoirs of hope? What happens when the reservoirs are tested by critical incidents or when they threaten to run dry? How can reservoirs be replenished?
This conference will consider the appropriateness of the reservoirs of hope metaphor and investigate practical strategies to support those in school leadership.
