Key outcomes for the event will allow delegates to:
- Identify key characteristics of Christian leadership and apply them in an educational context
- Develop sustainable leadership strategies in their schools that reflect Christian values
- Engage with distinctive Christian thinking on succession planning and Christian Leadership formation
- Create strategies for identifying, developing and nurturing future Christian leaders within their schools
- To be introduced to the leadership development of middle managers and Deputy Headteachers through co-leadership
Keynote speakers will explore these themes from both a national and international perspective. David Wells is Director of Formation for the Roman Catholic diocese of Plymouth whilst Rev Janet Muhindo is the Assistant Education Officer for the Provincial Offices of the Church of Uganda.
A Ugandan theme will flow through the whole of our 2009 conference. A prayer room, with an African theme, will be staffed throughout the conference and Rev. Muhindo will be acting as our conference chaplain. Worship times will provide opportunity to celebrate the work of the Christian Church and Christian teachers throughout Africa and especially Uganda.
